The Courses

You can have three, four or five lessons a day. Each lesson lasts 45 minutes. Lessons begin at 9.00 am and continue until 11.45 am or 1.15 pm.

The English courses are for adult professionals who want to make rapid progress, working one-to-one with two qualified teachers. Lessons are designed to help you speak and understand English, with all the grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation that you need. We use textbooks, course-books, CD's cassette tapes and videos and have dictionaries, vocabulary and grammar reference books for you to use. You do not need to bring any of these with you, unless you want to bring your course book you are using in your home country.

Before you start your homestay course, we will discuss what you want to study.

A homestay English course is the most efficient way to learn. Your teachers will be sympathetic and supportive. You can work at your own pace; the lessons will not be too easy or too hard. You can concentrate on learning exactly what you need. Most written work is done as self-study, and discussed with your teacher during the lesson.

You will speak confidently and understand most of what you hear, because you will hear English all the time.

When should I come?

We are happy to welcome students all year-round, and the Sussex coast is usually sunnier and drier than London.

June, July and August are busy, you will need to book ahead, and perhaps have two possible dates for your stay.
